Top-up our children's fund

Our children’s fund is a long standing designated fund used to help disadvantaged families with out of pocket costs such as transporting children and young people, recreational and educational visits, uniform costs, residence activities and resources for young people on vocational courses. Income from our healthy snack shop supports the fund but requests for help are increasing. We’re keen to keep it topped up.

Contemporary campus fund

We’re proud of our efforts to realise the wishes of children and young people for a contemporary space to live and learn in. We’ve already achieved ecotricity with 100% renewable electricity across the campus but there’s more do to lower our carbon footprint. A whole school move to LED lighting, more efficient use of energy , exploration of alternative energy sources and an eco friendly built environment are on our list.

Building Resilience

Our Gold award from the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health in Schools for mental health and wellbeing shows our commitment to placing the experiences of deaf children and young people at the heart of our everyday practice. We believe a positive sense of identity and belonging are key to ensuring each and every pupil enjoys the best chances in life socially, emotionally and educationally. Boost opportunities for learners to celebrate their identities, build independence and leave us proud with the know-what and know- how to enjoy life beyond school to the full.
