Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award Presentation

Two of our pupils - Luke and Joshua, received their Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Awards recently at Buckingham Palace.

We had a brilliant day. Katie also received her Long Service Award for supporting the Award.

We met loads of interesting people

James Clarke

James is a deaf blind runner who attended Royal School for the Deaf Derby who visited us recently

He gave a presentation about Usher Syndrome

He told us about his decision to undertake 100 runs and has now completed his challenge.

His presentation was inspirational and we are delighted that he has given us his 100th medal. It will be framed and have pride of place in reception

Mayor of Derby visits Royal School for the Deaf Derby

Linda Winter, the Mayor of Derby, visited us recently.  

She spent time in all departments and had lunch with the primary pupils.
